Questions & Answers

If you can't find answers to your questions here, please write to us.
  1. How can I purchase a FineReader subscription?
All card payments are processed by 2Checkout (formerly Avangate). You can pay with your Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, and some other bank cards or use any other payment method accepted by 2Checkout (formerly Avangate). Please refer to www.2Checkout.com for more information.
After your purchase is completed, 2Checkout (formerly Avangate) will send you a confirmation message to the e-mail address that you specified in the billing information. At the same time, FineReader Online will send you your serial number for the desktop version of ABBYY FineReader to the e-mail address associated with your FineReader account.
  2. Will my card details be safe and secure?
Yes. We accept payments via 2Checkout (formerly Avangate). Your security is 2Checkout's (formerly Avangate) top priority. The system uses the latest technology to combat fraud and to secure you financial transactions. All transmitted data are automatically encrypted using SSL certificates and protected by 3D Secure.
  3. When will my page credits expire?
All plans in the FineReader Online store have a limited validity period, which is 1 year from the date of purchase. These page credits can be used when accessing the FineReader Online service from a browser or from the ABBYY FineReader mobile app.
If you are logged in to the service, the date when your page credits will expire is displayed at the top of the website, next to the number of page credits that you currently have in your account. Please note that if you renew your subscription plan before your previous plan expires, any unused page credits will carry over to the next one-year period.
  4. How can I extend the validity period of my page credits?
To extend the validity period of your remaining page credits, you can renew your subscription. Your remaining page credits will be added to the page credits in the newly purchased subscription plan and the maximum validity period will prevail.
  5. Will I be automatically charged when my current subscription expires?
Yes, but only if you select the appropriate option during the purchase process (on 2Checkout’s (formerly Avangate) checkout page). If you want to change this setting after you have made your purchase, please contact the ABBYY support team (help@abbyy.com).
You can change the auto-renewal settings in your FineReader Online profile.
